Whilst known primarily as a rock music producer – with artists such as Jamie Lenman, Wardance, The Saint Pierre Snake Invasion, Reuben, LTNT and Eighteen Nightmares At The Lux under his belt - Sean has also clocked up numerous records which are somewhat gentler on the eardrums including Tom McRae, Iko, Bairbre Anne, Joel Harries and Jasmine Rodgers.
Add to that Sean's engineering/mixing credits, which feature heavyweights The Who, Suede, Manic Street Preachers, Kula Shaker, The Futureheads, Gyroscope and Starsailor and the fact that he's currently on guitar duties on Roger Daltrey's forthcoming solo album, it makes for a high calibre and diverse discography.
Sean is the proud owner of Black Dog Studios a state-of-the-art recording, mixing and mastering facility in SW London with an enviable selection of vintage instruments and the only studio in the world to have the multi-track capabilities of 456 HD analogue hardware, the brainchild of audio guru Roger Mayer.
When a project requires a residential studio Sean usually heads to the legendary Rockfield in Wales but he's also been known to record in both Canada and the US including the famed Rancho De La Luna Studio (QOTSA, Foo Fighters) in Joshua Tree.
It was at Rancho that his current band, the desert rock juggernaut RedRacer, was formed featuring Sean on lead guitar, long-time collaborator John Hogg on vocals, Jesse Wood (Reef) on bass, Dan Kav (Godsized) on drums, Jesse Hughes (Boots Electric) as co-producer and featuring David Catching (EODM, Mojave Lords) and Joey Castillo (QOTSA, Danzig) amongst other desert rock aficionados.
SEAN GENOCKEY is a London-based record producer, mixer, songwriter and guitarist.
With over twenty years of experience in the music industry he's carved himself a reputation as something of a maverick.
